About Jennifer Aknin
Hi i'm Jennifer and welcome to my art world! I have been drawing and painting since I was very young. I remember when I was little I would scribble on a piece of paper and show my mother what I did and how she would always say how wonderful my piece was and how talented she thought I was. Throughout my grade school years I was constantly improving my art skills getting compliments from friends, family, teachers, and strangers about how awesome my art work was.
I started selling my artwork in 2005, and I knew this was what I wanted to do with my life. I have taken many art classes at Pierce College and West Valley Occupational Center where I have learned graphic design, printmaking, life drawing, and painting.
I specialize in acrylic and acrylic ink paintings, decorating ceramic masks, charcoal life drawings, typography, and graphic design mainly focused in Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator. I sell my original art work and I plan to create my own art gallery in the future.
When people tell me my work inspires them it confirms that I am on the right path, because I am following my passion. Being an artist is about Freedom of expression. Like life I can be perfect and imperfect all at once.
